Living for Life Foundation

Life is more than treatment.

Inspired by Chris’s own experience with Chemo for Life—ongoing chemotherapy used to manage chronic or advanced cancer—Living for Life Foundation is creating space for rest, connection, and meaningful moments beyond the appointment.

There is still room
for life beyond treatment.

Our mission

Hope. Joy. Renewal.
Still possible.

Living for Life Foundation begins in Iowa, centered on Chemo for Life patients and the spouses and caregivers walking beside them.

We believe treatment should not be the whole story. Our goal is to create restorative experiences that make room for connection, rest, and the parts of life that help people feel like themselves.

Why we exist

You are more than a diagnosis, a schedule, or a side effect.

Treatment can make life feel organized around appointments and recovery. Living for Life Foundation exists to make room for life beyond that routine—without losing sight of the real weight people carry.

What we’re building

Restorative moments, built with care.

These are examples of the restorative experiences envisioned for Iowa patients and the people beside them. Specific programs and eligibility are not available yet.

01

Restorative Getaways

Long-weekend escapes away from home, created to offer peace, comfort, and a change of scenery beyond the clinical routine.

02

Time With What Matters

Opportunities to visit family, share meaningful time, or attend programs that support the body, mind, and spirit.

03

Everyday Relief

Simple restorative moments—such as services from local vendors—that bring care and breathing room to patients and caregivers.

For patients & families

You are at the heart of this mission.

Program details and eligibility are not available yet. When they are ready, updates will be shared for Iowa Chemo for Life patients and the spouse or caregiver beside them.

Our vision

A world where every Chemo for Life patient feels empowered, supported, and inspired—not only to endure treatment, but to rediscover the beauty, strength, and meaning in life beyond it.

What guides us

Hope in action.

Our beginning

One experience,
turned outward.

Born from a life lived in treatment.

Chris was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer in October 2025. As a Chemo for Life patient, he receives treatment for three days every two weeks. The kindness of local charities and foundations helped ease that journey.

Living for Life Foundation is his way of giving back—creating restorative opportunities for other Chemo for Life patients and the spouses or caregivers beside them, so life can hold more than appointments and recovery.

Support the mission
